There is a few pens out there that have a massive fanboy/-girl crowd – and Pelikans flagship model, the Souverän M100x, is certainly one of those. A grail pen for many, the pen is not only impressive in dimensions, but does also possess one of the most exquisite nibs out there (see my review of the classic black-green M1000 here).
Also, it is no secret that many Pelikan fans do have a weak spot for the minimalist grey-silver Stresemann finish (review of the M805 here). In the M1000-size, most of the M1005’s (=palladium plated accents & rhodium plated gold nib) have been pretty popular. Be it the simple black one or the intriguing demonstrator. So sure thing, when Pelikan announced an M1005 Stresemann to hit the market in February 2019, they had the fountain pen community raving.
But then Pelikan really kept us on the tenterhooks with this one: the release of the pen has gotten postponed numerous times over the course of the summer due to some problems in the supply chain. But all of this is history, since now in September 2019, the M1005 finally hits the ground and has the earth shaking. So let’s dive right into things in the video down below!
The video is, as always, preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
