Marte Modena is a well-known retailer for all kinds of luxury everyday-gear such as watches, jewelry, wallets, and also writing instruments. Until recently, they have mostly distributed existing brands. In December 2016, however, Marte Modena pulled the trigger on producing their first very own fountain pen line – the Marte Modena Citizen.
The Citizen comes in all kinds of different finishes, all of which represent a certain city (the pen is named after the “Citizens of this World”) and the respective color scheme of the city’s banner or coat of arms. The pen which I review here, is the blue and yellow Marte Modena “Citizen” Modena. Besides a range of other city-schemes (e.g. London, New York, Bejing, … ) there also is a special charity range (50% of the proceeds herefrom are donated to AMREF), including cities from Africa. The Citizen is made by Marlen for Marte Modena.
Let’s have a closer look at the pen in the video-review below, which is, as always, preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
Quick Facts
- Marte Modena “Citizen” (model: Modena)
- Resin body
- Gold colored accents and trims
- Cartridge-/converter-filler (converter supplied with the pen)
- #6-Bock steel-nib options: Fine (F), Medium (M), Broad (B)
