While there are a lot of reviews about fountain pens on those pages here at Scrively, pen cases are not less important.
Pen cases certainly receive much less attention, are less discussed, and lesser brands are known. Sometimes, it is the big pen makers who also make and provide cases.
But there are also other manufacturers, such as Galen Leather, or The Superior Labor – who are not in the business of making pens, but (more or less) solely in the business of leather crafting; providing the stationery world with (hopefully) great products that they can carry their beloved writing implements in and with them through everyday life.
While I get a lot of pleasure out of (using and reviewing) writing instruments, I also do have a weak spot for pen cases. Not only do they protect our writing instruments – hence make them truly mobile – but they are also often the artefact that first meets the eye, either when spotted in the brief case or backpack, or when taken out and put on the table.
Often, these pen cases, especially when well used, also pick up a lot of patina, and, wabi sabi style, truly tell their own story.
With that said, I am very excited to be able to bring to you another such review: the one of the The Superior Labor flap pen case.
Before we hop into the review, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Nomadostore for supporting the review of this product. You can also buy all kinds of The Superior Labor items in their webshop (no affiliate – just a friendly pointer).
The video is, as always, preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
