Video-Review: OMAS Bologna Galassia

The OMAS Bologna Galassia Black Trim marks the reintroduction of the classic Bologna fountain pen collection – an iconic model originally designed in the 1930s. The pen retains the silhouette of the original pre-war design, updated with a modern piston-filling system in place of the original lever filler.

Crafted in a glossy nebula resin with matching black trim, the Galassia edition features spectacularly deep Italian cellulose acetate and understated detailing, including a screw-on cap with a classic roller clip.

Founded in 1925 by Armando Simoni in Bologna, Italy, OMAS – short for Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni – has long stood for Italian craftsmanship, distinctive design, and high-quality writing instruments. The new Bologna collection continues that legacy, blending historical inspiration with renewed attention to material and function.
