Video Review: Parker 51 (2021 re-release)

This review is ‘innovative’ in different ways. First, believe it or not (I could not believe it myself), even after many years of reviewing (fountain) pens, this is the first Parker review on those pages.

Second, this review is about one of the most iconic pens that are possibly out there (some of the others, in my book, being the Lamy Safari, Lamy 2000, Pelikan M800, Montblanc 146, and Montblanc 149): the Parker 51.

The Parker 51 was a groundbreaking design back when it was first launched in 1939. For a long time, the pen was only available pre-loved from the vintage market. But now, in 2021, Parker has re-released a modern interpretation of this hallmark pen. “Inspired by the past. Made for the future.”, as Parker has it.

Head on over to the video review below to see what I think of this pen.

By the way, if you like the design of the Parker 51, you might also want to look into the Aurora DuoCart, or the Lamy 2000.

Also, watch out for a comparative review between the Parker 51 and Lamy 2000, coming up soon!

Before we hop into the review, I would like to take the opportunity to thank La Couronne du Comte in the Netherlands for supporting this review. You can also buy the pen at their webshop (no affiliate-link, just a friendly pointer).

But now, check out the video-overview below, which is as always preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
