Video-Review: Laban T-325

Laban is a pen brand that I until recently was quite unaware of. They do however, have a couple of really interesting offers – often with very opulent models in the luxury range of things – and seemed very solidly built pens. There was one model called T-325 that caught my eye on Instagram, which in the end got me to get the stone rolling to get my hands on a Laban pen to see what they are like.

The pens are not all too common, it seems, and I also didn’t find too many retailers carrying them. Still, they are available, and you can get the ones that I review in the video below for instance at PenHeaven.co.uk at an actually quite good price (no affiliate, just a friendly service to you).

The video is, as always, preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!

Quick Facts

  • Laban T325 (Burgundy Swirl & Latte Cream)
  • Resin body with swirls/marbling
  • Gold-colored accents and trims

The Laban looks like a solid, handsome writer. A hundred euros would convert to about $115 in the US. If that’s a list price, I would imagine it could be found for under $100. I just don’t know who carries Laban in the States anymore. The two US sellers I knew of closed down their websites in the past two years.

As for the clip, it reminds me of the “rocker” style clip Conklin still uses on many of their pens. Their clips extend further past the point of attachment. It acts as a lever with the point of attachment serving as a fulcrum. You simply press the end of the clip and you can easily attach the pen to any width of fabric. I have several Conklin’s and they show no sign of wearing out or failing.

Good review. Thank you for providing these informational videos.

Thanks for sharing your experience regarding the clip and comment! I have no idea of an US seller as well. Maybe Google or contact Laban directly. They are quite responsive.
