Video-Review: Caran d’Ache Ecridor “Retro”

Caran d’Ache is a well-known fountain pen maker. However, their pens are neither seen widely in the diverse social media-channels and pen communities all around, nor are they frequently reviewed. An exception is the rather new model 849 (recently reviewed here), which is based on the famous ballpoint pen and which raised quite a bit of attention in the (fountain) pen world.

The model on which said 849 is based, the Ecridor, on the other hand side, counts less than a handful of reviews on YouTube by the time of writing this post here. Being that the Ecridor is an established pen model by a reputable pen manufacturer, my only explanation to why this pen may be rather niche is that it is a quite slim and rather expensive pen that is basically only available in silver (yes, and gold – but the latter is not a very popular choice for a pen color). Other than that, the pen is really worth taking a look at, which is why I really wanted to serve you with a review of it.

The great people at The Pen Company were kind enough to help me out with a review pen, which I would like to take the chance to express my appreciation for.

So here’s the video-review – preceded by some quick facts. I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
