I have seen through quite a bunch of TWSBI pens over the years. The Eco, the Vac 700 – or the Diamond 580. The latter pen has a somewhat special place in my heart. Back in 2015, it was the first pen that kicked off the collaboration between Scrively and Fontoplumo, it was one of the first ‘nicer’ fountain pens that I have reviewed, and it was one of the last written pen reviews that I had made – just before I made the transition to video reviews, which is a format that works better for me personally, and which I believe is also of more value to the audience than the written review format.
Having said all of that, I am really happy to bring to you yet another review of a TWSBI pen – again together with Fontoplumo, and again a Diamond 580 model. Yet, this time it is the Diamond 580 AL R, which is a very interesting variation the the Diamond 580 AL. And also, this time it is a video review, adding a clip of the Diamond 580 AL R to the stack of Scrively TWSBI reviews. Happy me, and hopefully happy you, too!
Before we hop into the review, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Fontoplumo for supporting the review of this pen. You can also buy the TWSBI Diamond 580 AL R Nickel Grey their webshop (no affiliate-link).
But now, check out the video-review below, which is as always preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
