Comparative Overview: Lamy 2000 Stainless Steel & Makrolon

Here comes yet another installment of a video-series that I have started a while ago: the “Comparative Overview-Series” that already has quite a few episodes.

This comparative overview right here is one that I was particularly looking forward to myself. As many of you more regular followers surely know, the Lamy 2000 (in-depth single pen review here) is my personal all-time favourite fountain pen.

And for long I have been wondering how this Makrolon Bauhaus-classic would compare to its stainless steel-sibling. Obviously, I was not the only one wondering how those two would stack up against each other, since this was a question that I have frequently been asked. But worry you no longer, as below we will leave no comparative question unanswered.

Is there any specific comparative overview that you would want to see? Drop me a line, and I will see what I can do!

Before we hop into the review, I would like to take the opportunity to thank La Couronne du Comte in the Netherlands for supporting this video overview. You can also buy the Lamy 2000s at their webshop (no affiliate-link, just a friendly pointer).

But now, check out the video-overview below, which is as always preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
