Video-Review: Waldmann Concorde

The recent review of the Otto Hutt Design 07 somehow made me realise that there are still some reputable German pen manufacturers out there of which I actually never held a make in hand. Needless to say that there is no review of them on these pages here.

This brings us to Waldmann. Interestingly enough, Waldmann is just a stone throw away from Otto Hutt, maybe a 20 minute car ride, both pen makers being located in the wider Black Forrest region in Southern Germany.

Waldmann makes very appealing pens of great quality – and I guess it was not until our friend The Pen Addict had reviewed one of their models toward the end of 2019 that the brand has sparked more attention in the international pen communities. Even to date – unrightfully so – Waldmann is rarely seen across the fountain pen social media communities.

Having said all of that, it was high time for a Waldmann pen to make an appearance on these pages right here. And so we kick things off with the review of a very interesting smaller model, the Waldmann Concorde. I promise it won’t be the last Waldmann review.

Check out the video-review below, which is as always preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!

The link to the pen actually leads to the Otto Hutt 07.
