Video-Review: Tombow Object (Fountain Pen, gold-orange)

There are some pens that do not get an awful lot of attention in the fountain pen community (sometimes for no apparent reason), while others are pretty popular. The Lamy Studio is such a pen, for instance. Another pen in this category is the Tombow Object – and it may be safe to say that this pen really receives little attention. At the time of writing this blog post here, a quick search on YouTube and Google churns out next to no results for a “Tombow Object review” (there is a shorter one by The Pencilcase Blog, but that is basically it). Reason enough for me to take on that job. And I’m glad I did!

So, below’s the video-review – preceded by some quick facts. As always, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!

Quick Facts

  • Tombow Object fountain pen
  • Available in a number of different colors
  • Available nib-sizes: M is the one most commonly found, but there are also F and B. Be aware of the fact that these are Japanese nib sizes – i.e. the M is roughly comparable to a Western F
  • Aluminium body = robust but extremely light weight pen (lighter than a Lamy Safari)
  • Plastic section
  • Steel nib
  • Cost: Around 45 €
