The Lamy Aion is Lamys latest addition to the lineup. The writing instrument is very much signature Lamy – a minimalist, modern, no frills design. While Lamy didn’t reinvent the pen-wheel with the Aion – and some do rightly say that the pen is reminiscent of the Lamy 2000 and Studio models – I do think that the pen manufacturer went with a tried and tested design that will appeal to many, while still managing to give the pen a quite distinct look in its own right.

The Aion has been marketed throughout the digital media channels since quite some time. While it won’t hit stores and retailers before September, it is already available in the German webshop. Since I do anticipate that a review of the Aion will be something sought after – and since I’ve been approached for such a review on numerous occasions – I made sure to get my hands on an Aion and shoot a review for you, just in time for when the pen drops. So, here it is!
