Video Overview: Kaweco Sport – SKYLINE, AL and STEEL & new finishes

It is about two years ago that I had shot a comparative overview-video of the Kaweco Sport-Series. Since that time it has been pretty quite around the Kaweco Sport fountain pens on these pages here – apart from the review of the ‘Night Sport’ that has been released shortly after said comparative overview-video.

That silence wasn’t really intentional, but more of a result of me having already reviewed quite a number of the Sports pens, and no really groundbreaking new releases that would have justified covering these pens once more. Until recently, that is.

It is not long ago that Kaweco has released quite a number of news around the Sports line. First of all, they extended their SKYLINE series with a pen in a light brown macchiato finish. Next, they released their mid-tier AL Sport in a rose gold finish – and boy, we all know how popular rose gold is nowadays (at least in pens). And to top it all off, Kaweco released a Sport model in an entire new material: the STEEL Sport.

All of that, I thought, warrants another look at this lineup. So this time I look at all these new finishes and materials. But not only that: I seize the opportunity of this comparative video to also scrutinize the – obvious and not so obvious – differences that the different materials bring to the pen when it comes to fit and finish.

But now, check out the video-review below, which is as always preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the overview is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
