Comparative Overview: Montblanc Meisterstück 146 & 149

Here comes yet another installment of a video-series that I have started a while ago: the “Comparative Overview-Series” that already has quite a few episodes.

This comparative overview right here is one that I think may be very interesting – and hopefully also helpful – to people that toy with the thought of venturing into the luxury segment of fountain pens. As I have already pointed out in the extend review of the Montblanc Meisterstück 146, this is certainly a pen model/shape and brand that many fountain pen aficionados will look into sooner or later.

With both the Meisterstück 146 LeGrand and the 149 Diplomat we aren’t exactly talking pocket change when it comes to the amount of money that you will have to drop in order to call one of them your own. Also, both pens are super similar – with ‘dimensions’ (plus some hundred quid) being pretty much the only thing that sets them apart. Hence, I hope I will be able to provide some guidance and orientation to an informed purchase (or non-purchase) decision with this comparative overview.

Is there any specific comparative overview that you would want to see? Drop me a line, and I will see what I can do!

Before we hop into the review, I would like to take the opportunity to thank both La Couronne du Comte in the Netherlands and Penoblo in Germany for supporting this video overview.

But now, check out the video-overview below, which is as always preceded by some quick facts. Again, I hope the review is helpful and that you enjoy watching it!
